We’ll help you to make a decision regarding whether to stay with your Samsung Galaxy S2 or to upgrade it to Samsung Galaxy S3. So, if you are one among those folks who wants to compare Galaxy S2 with Galaxy S3, then I believe this post will definitely help you.

Most of the android lovers, call Galaxy series SmartPhones as iPhone killers. Of course, yes they’ve made a clear impact in the market despite of competition from other mobile companies that are using Android Operating System like Motorola, Sony, Nokia, HTC, etc. Samsung is considered as leader in the SmartPhone industry, which completely demolished the empire constructed by Nokia. In this post, we are going to compare Samsung Galaxy S2 vs Galaxy S3 mobiles.

Generally, when Apple is planning to launch their new iPhone or iPad, the web world will be buzzing with huge number of rumors, leaks, assumptions and fake collections, but surprising same thing happend to Galaxy S3. This clearly shows that iPhone is going to face tough competition from Samsung in coming years. We’ll now, look into the comparison of Samsung Galaxy S2 vs Galaxy S3.

#1. Design and Display

Samsung Galaxy S2 comes with Super AMOLED Plus screen that is loaded with 16M colors. While Samsung Galaxy S3 is featured with Super AMOLED HD screen with 16M colors. To be on the point the display screen is going to be one of the biggest assets for Galaxy S3.

The display resolution of Galaxy S2 is 480×800 pixels with pixel density of 217 ppi, while the resolution of Galaxy S3 is 720×1280 pixels with pixel density of 306 ppi. The Screen Size of Galaxy S3 is larger than Galaxy S2 by 0.5 inches.

While comparing Galaxy S2 vs Galaxy S3 device’s Design and Display features, both the devices carries almost same features and we don’t fine much of the difference except 306 ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass V2.

#2. Processor and Operating System

Samsung Galaxy S2 comes with Android Gingerbread v2.3.4 version and it can be upgradable to Android ICS v4.x version. While Samsung Galaxy S3 comes with Androd ICS v4.0.4 version. But, we can see that more than 60% of Android devices are still running on Gingerbread OS, while few applications aren’t yet compatible with ICS.

For the first time, Galaxy series mobile Galaxy S3 is featured with quad-core Exynos 4212 chipset that is cloaked at 1.4 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, while Galaxy S2 comes with dual-core Exynos 4212 chipset that is cloaked at 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor. Galaxy S3 is proved to be one of the fastest processor in the current market.

The processor is one of the biggest enhancement of Samsung Galaxy S3. In our processor and operating systems comparison between Galaxy S2 vs Galaxy S3, clearly Galaxy S3 holds the benefactor and if you are looking for one of the mobiles with fastest processors and exciting graphics, then Galaxy S3 is the best option.

#3. Camera and Video

Samsung Galaxy S2 is loaded with 8 MP rear camera and 2 MP front camera. While Samsung Galaxy S3 is loaded with 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. The camera of the both mobiles are pretty much same with pixel resolution of 3264×2448 pixels and other features like autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, etc.

Excluding the video recording feature at 720p@30fps for Galaxy S3, the camera and video features were almost same for both mobiles. So in comparing camera and video features of Galaxy S2 vs Galaxy S3, there are not much of differences, but still few interesting features will definitely attract people to buy Galaxy S3.

Apple iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note [Comparison]

Comparing Apple iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note, is like comparing Smart Phone with a Smart Moblet, the reason for me to call Samsung Galaxy Note as Moblet is it’s design appears to be as a Smart Phone + Tablet PC. The Samsung Galaxy Note is a hybrid between a tablet and a smartphone and it did grab a lot of attention when it was unveiled due to its mammoth size.

I’m personally not having both the devices with me, but I’ve got my hands on Galaxy Note in my near-by Mobile Store, and I’m yet to have my hands on iPhone 4S. If you are willing to buy Apple iPhone 4S, there are few reasons why you need to buy it like Camera, Display, Applications, Multimedia, etc., and if you are willing to buy Samsung Galaxy Note, there are few reasons like Size, Applications, and Camera. Apple is about to release iPhone 5 and Samsung didn’t make any official statements about upgraded version of Galaxy note.

Apple launched iPhone 4S in the last October, and Samsung Launched Galaxy Note in Oct 2011 as well. Both these devices launched in the market at the same time, but still the statistics of iPhone 4S is way ahead of Galaxy Note’s stats. Over 4 million pieces of iPhone 4S were sold in just 1 week after it’s launch. If you are wondering whether to buy iPhone 4S or Samsung Galaxy Note, I hope this post will help your out. Let’s find which of the two handsets are better in the comparison between Apple iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note.

#1. Ergonomics

The Samsung Galaxy Note is a mammoth device and it has imposing looks that are sure to stun you. The handset weighs 178 gms and that is not much keeping in mind the size of the handset and it’s dimensions are 146.9 x 83 x 9.7 mm.

The Apple iPhone 4S is a replica of the iPhone 4 and thus it did not create a stir with its appearance. The handset weighs 140 grams and it’s dimensions are 115.2 x 58.6 x 9.3 mm.

The Galaxy Note is clearly will grab much attention than the Apple iPhone 4S, but still the rich look of iPhone 4S still make definite sense. If you compare iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note in Ergonomic and build quality, both these devices hold commendable place.

#2. Display

The display of the Galaxy Note is one of its most discussed feature. The handset has a 5.3 inch giant Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels with 285 pixels per inch.
The iPhone 4S has a 3.5 inch screen that is an LED backlit TFT retina display. The display resolution of 640 x 960 pixels with 330 pixels per inch provides us with crystal clear display.
The display of the Apple iPhone 4S is much better than the Galaxy Note when it comes to clarity and additional features, even though it has a smaller screen. In our display comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note, it’s clearly iPhone 4S that wins the race by providing maximum quality display for it’s users.

#3. Processor

The Samsung Galaxy Note is powered by an ARM Cortex A9 processor that has an Exynos chipset. The iPhone 4S, on the other hand has been powered by the same ARM Cortex A9 processor but there is an Apple A5 chipset that has been used which is the same that has been used in the iPad 2.

However, the clock speed of the Galaxy Note is higher than the Apple iPhone 4S and thus the Galaxy Note, holds slight edge over iPhone 4S in terms of Device Speed.

In our comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note, because of the better clock speed, Galaxy Note is, slightly faster than the iPhone 4S.

#4. Operating system

The Apple iPhone 4S is based on the iOS 5 and that is the latest operating system from the house of Apple. Thus, all the latest features that are related to the software are present in this handset.

Talking about the Galaxy Note, the handset is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and that version is quite an old and common these days, as there are over 60% of other Android handsets that are available in the market that have the same operating system. There is no official news from Samsung regarding the OS of Galaxy Note upgrading to ICS4.

The iPhone 4S has an operating system that clearly outmatches that of the Galaxy Note because of it’s latest OS with exciting features. But still Android 2.3v is one of the mostly used OS with great features as well.

In our comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note, both these devices are loaded with different Operating Systems, and it’s going to be purely your choice to choose the device that suits your requirements.

#5. Camera

Both the handsets are equally good when it comes to this as they both pack an 8MP rear facing shooter that is capable of full HD recording.

The Camera of iPhone 4S is loaded with Rear Camera of 8 MP, 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, front-facing Camera – VGA which allows us videocalling facility and not to forget, it’s video recording enables us to record videos at 1080p@30fps.

The Camera of Galaxy Note is loaded with Read Camera of 8 MP, 3264×2448 pixels, autofocus, LED flash, front-facing camera of 2 MP and the video recording allows us to record videos at 1080p@24 to 30 frames per second.

In our comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note, both the devices are having almost same features and I’d like to leave the decision to you regarding the camera aspect.

#6. Memory and Battery

Galaxy Note comes in 2 variants 16GB/32GB and we can also extend the memory via microSD card with 2GB default card already included in it and it is loaded with 1 GB RAM

Apple iPhone 4S comes in 3 variants 16GB/32GB/64GB and only disadvantage of iPhone 4S is lack of microSD card and it is loaded with 512 MB RAM.

Samsung Galaxy Note is loaded with Standard Li-Ion 2500 mAh battery which is slightly powerful than iPhone 4S battery Li-Po 1432 mAh.

In our comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note in Memory and Battery aspect, it’s clearly Galaxy Note which stood ahead of iPhone 4S.

Thus, in the comparison between Apple iPhone 4s vs Galaxy Note, the iPhone 4S is the winner in aspects like Display, OS, Camera while Galaxy Note holds edge in aspects like Memory, Processor, Battery etc. So, if you are planning to buy iPhone 4S or to buy Galaxy Note, I’d like to suggest you to buy the device that suits your requirements, as both the devices are having their own pros and cons. Hope you liked our Comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Note.

As the expectations from the iPhone 4S were extremely high, which is only natural, as the handset is a product of Apple, it remained to be seen if the Nokia Lumia 800 will give competition to the iPhone 4S or will it just vanish in the brightness of the handset. #1. Ergonomics

I think everyone will agree with me when I say that, both the Apple iPhone 4S and the Nokia Lumia 800 are extremely beautiful in their own rite. While the iPhone 4S that is available in 2 colours, black and white, has a very royal look, and the Nokia Lumia 800 has a very sporty look and is available in a spray of colours. It is clearly a tie between the two, when it comes to the external appearances.

#2. Display

The Nokia Lumia packs a Nokia ClearBlack touchscreen display that is 3.7 inches and the images look great on the screen. The display has a screen resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels that is, 720p HD. The Apple iPhone 4S has a much better display even though it is smaller than that of the Nokia Lumia 800. The handset has a 3.5inch screen. This display has a screen resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels that is 1080p HD, which the maximum possible. Apple iPhone 4S wins in this aspect of display comparison between Nokia Lumia 800 vs iPhone 4S.

#3. Camera

The Nokia Lumia 800 as well as the Apple iPhone 4S are packed with 8MP rear facing shooters. These shooters have Flash as well and thus taking pictures in low light conditions is not a problem. Coming to the front facing shooter, the Nokia Lumia 800 completely lacks this feature while the iPhone 4S has a VGA camera, that is pretty basic. All the same, the iPhone has an edge over the Nokia Lumia 800 here too. Other features like 3264 x 2448 pixels, Auto Focus, LED flash and common in both the devices, while again iPhone 4S has an edge over Nokia Lumia 800 in video recording aspect as well which records video at 1080p @ 30fps and Lumia records is at 720p @ 30fps. In our camera and video comparison between Nokia Lumia 800 vs iPhone 4S, iPhone 4S holds the benefactor.

#4. Memory

The handsets have something in common here and that is, they do not have memory card slots and thus there is no room for external memory insertion. But the iPhone 4S is more flexible as compared to the Nokia Lumia 800 as it comes only in one variant that is the 16GB version, while the Apple iPhone 4S comes in different variants with respect to the memory, there is a 16GB, 32GB and 64GB version.

#5. Operating system

The Nokia Lumia 800 is based on the Windows Phone 7.5, Mango operating system and there are many new features that come along with this operating system. The Apple iPhone 4S is based on the iOS5 operating system and it has the support of SIRI. iPhone 4S is clearly a step ahead of the Nokia Lumia 800 in this aspect as well in terms of applications, features, etc.

In the comparison between Nokia Lumia 800 vs iPhone 4S, we can confidently assess that the Apple iPhone 4S clearly outshines the Nokia Lumia 800 in almost every aspect and Nokia needs to come out with a much stronger handset if they wish to compete with the king of all Smart Phones, of course they’ve been planning to launch more Lumia series mobiles. If you ask me to choose one among these 2 devices to buy iPhone 4S or to buy Nokia Lumia 800, I’ll choose to buy iPhone 4S without second thought, considering it’s features. Apple iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus from Samsung [Comparison]

In this post we are going to compare iPhone 4s vs Galaxy Nexus, as it always feels crazy to compare Apple devices with Samsung. The comparison between all the high end models of the Galaxy series with the iPhone 4S is obviously, given that the parent to companies are working to outdo the other in the smartphone market. Both these brands are working really hard to lead the SmartPhone and Tablet markets. It’s regardless, as there are many companies like HTC, HP, Motorola, LG, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, etc., are existing, but still Apple and Samsung holds special place in the industry and I recon the launch of Apple iPhone 4S or the New iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy S3 are the best examples.

The Galaxy Nexus is one of the best smartphones in the Galaxy series and so here is the comparison between Apple iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus. May the best handset rule the market, sorry for not yet comparing Galaxy S3 with iPhone 4S, we’ll come up with that post soon.

If you are wondering to pick one among Apple iPhone 4s and Samsung Galaxy Nexus, I hope this post will help you to make a perfect decision that satisfies your requirements. Let us jump into our comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus.

#1. Ergonomics

The design of the iPhone 4S is much more classy as compared to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and one of the main reasons behind this is that the iPhone 4S is made of glass and steel, while the Galaxy Nexus has a plastic back and that does not have that classic look, that the iPhone 4S so confidently exudes.

Also, the iPhone 4S is visibly slimmer than the Galaxy Nexus. iPhone 4S measures 115.2 mm in height, 58.6 mm in width, 9.3 mm thickness and weighs around 140 gms. While the Galaxy Nexuss measures 135.5 mm in height, 67.9 mm in width, 8.9 mm thickness and weighs around 135 gms.

If you are giving much importance to the appearance of the Mobile, then iPhone 4S is way ahead of Galaxy Nexus. So in my comparison of Ergonomics between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus, I’ll go with iPhone 4S.

#2. Display

This is another feature that has got everyone talking about both of these devices. The Galaxy Nexus is packed with a 4.65 inch super AMOLED HD screen that makes the iPhone 4S screen seem tiny, as the display of the handset is just 3.5 inches and it is an LED-backlit IPS TFT.

The iPhone 4S is marginally better than the Galaxy Nexus in this respect as it has a higher pixel density at 326ppi as compared to the 316 ppi of the Galaxy Nexus, while the display resolution of iPhone 4S is 640 x 960 pixels makes it to provide even better display than any other devices on the earth, but Galaxy Nexus isn’t way inferior to iPhone 4S which bags the display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels.

Despite of smaller screen, the iPhone 4S provides excellent display experience for the user, though the pixel density of both the mobiles are pretty close, but we need to consider the Screen Size and Display Resolution aspects. So, in our comparison between iPhone 4s vs Galaxy Nexus in Display category, my vote goes for iPhone 4S again.

#3.Operating system

When you talk about the operating system of the handset, then there is nothing to beat the iPhone 4S as it is equipped with the latest operating system from the Apple stable, that is the iOS5. To complement this, is the SIRI that makes using the handset an absolute pleasure.

The Galaxy Nexus is be based on the Android 4.0, Ice Cream sandwich operating system, which also turns out to be the latest version of the Android operating system. And with the recent Galaxy S3′s launch, they’ve announced S-Voice which we can consider as an answer to Apple’s Siri.

When it comes to Operating Systems, it is really tough to pick one among these iOS and Android. Because the fan base for these operating systems are equally distributed. So, in our comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus, it is your choice to choose the best suited operating systems among these 2.

#4. Processor and Memory

These handsets are packed with dual core processors and thus, there are no two things about the fact that these handsets are extremely fast. There is a slight difference in the clock speed though, that is the Galaxy Nexus has a clock speed of 1.2GHz and the iPhone 4S has a clock speed of 1GHz and thus the Galaxy Nexus is a tad faster than the iPhone 4S.

iPhone 4S is featured with A5 chipset and Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor, and Galaxy Nexus is features with TI OMAP 4460 chipset and Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor.

The handsets come in different variants with respect to the memory. The Galaxy Nexus comes in two variants, that is a 16GB version and a 32 GB version. Same is the case with the iPhone 4S as well, but there is a third variant that is also present for the iPhone 4S and that is the 64GB version.

Unfortunately, None of the handsets have any external storage memory slots. In our comparison between Processor and Memory aspects of iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus, both these devices are loaded with almost equal power, but Galaxy Nexus hold little edge over iPhone 4S in cloaking speed.

#5. Camera and Battery

The iPhone 4S packs an 8MP rear facing camera is capable of HD recording and the additional features are exemplary. Coming to the Galaxy Nexus, it has a 5MP camera that has basic features and does not outperform the shooter of the iPhone 4S in any way.

Loaded with 8 MP rear camera and VGA front facing camera, iPhone 4S allows us to enjoy some of the prominent features like video calling over Wi-Fi, geo-tagging, video stabilization, while Galaxy Nexus is loaded with 5 MP rear facing camera and 1.3 MP front facing camera lacks video calling and video stabilization.

iPhone 4S is loaded with Li-Po 1432 mAh battery while Galaxy Nexus is comes with Li-Ion 1750 mAh which is slightly powerful that iPhone’s battery.

So, in case of camera comparison between iPhone 4S Vs Galaxy Nexus, it’s always iPhone 4S because of Video Calling feature, and in case of battery comparison between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus, there isn’t much of difference between these 2 devices, but still Galaxy Nexus holds slight edge ahead of iPhone 4S.

#6. Price Details

  • iPhone 4S Price - $199 for 16GB, $299 for 32GB, $399 for 64GB
  • Galaxy Nexus Price – Varying

If you ask me to suggest you to pick one among iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus, I’ll definitely go with iPhone 4S, as it is crystal clear that in the comparison made above between iPhone 4S vs Galaxy Nexus, the Apple iPhone is the shining star that gets all the accolades for its beauty and brains.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2 [Comparison]

In this article, we are going to deal with comparison between 2 Samsung devices Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2. The Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Nexus are cool handsets and are on the wishlist of many people across the globe. “Which among the two devices is a better handset?” might have crossed your mind in case you have been planning to buy any one of the handset as they are very closely related. Personally, I’ve tested only Galaxy S2 device, but I’ve read few reviews about Galaxy Nexus and decided to compare few important features and specifications of these devices in our comparison of Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2.

Considering the sales, features and fan base between iPhone 4(S) and Samsung Galaxy S2, you can notice the fact that iDevices are clearly facing sheer competition from a device atlast. The design, display, camera, connectivity, memory, and other features for both of these devices are pretty close. Okay, I don’t want to waste your time by comparing iPhone and Galaxy S2 again, Let’s take a look at our major comparison between Samsung Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2.

#1. Appearance

The Galaxy S2 is one of the slimmest smartphones that are available in the market today. It is smaller than the Nexus in dimensions and just weighs about 117 gms. The Nexus on the other hand is chunkier, but weighs at 135 gms. The dimensions of the devices are are as follows:
  • Samsung Galaxy S2 - 125.3 x 66.1 x 8.5 mm
  • Samsung Galaxy Nexus - 135.5 x 67.9 x 8.9 mm

#2. Display

As I mentioned above, the Galaxy S2 is comparatively smaller handset that Galaxy Nexus and thus the display of the handset is also smaller.

The S2 sports a 4.3 inch super AMOLED plus display that has a screen resolution of 480 by 800 pixels (with 217 pixels/inch) and has Gorilla Glass protection, while the Galaxy Nexus has a 4.65 inch super AMOLED HD display that has a screen resolution of 720 by 1280 pixels (with 316 pixels/inch).

Though the screen resolution and pixel density is high, but the display of Galaxy Nexus is not as good as Galaxy S2 and to add, there is no protective encasing that is present and also no signs of TouchWiz.

Clearly in our comparison of Design and Display aspects between Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2, I’d definitely vote for Samsung Galaxy S2.

#3. Processor and Operating Software

The Samsung Galaxy S2 is based on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system that is supported by the TouchWiz 4.0 user interface and the Galaxy Nexus is the first smartphone from the Samsung stable, to be based on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Not to forget, you can upgrade Samsung Galaxy S2 to Android V4.X ICS version.

Galaxy S2 is loaded with Exynos chipset and it equipped with Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with reasoble support from Mali-400MP GPU, while the Galaxy Nexus comes with TI OMAP 4460 chipset and is equipped with Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 processor with stunning support for Graphics from PowerVR SGX540 GPU which is slightly slower than Galaxy’s Mali-400MP chipset.

In order to conclude our comparison on Processor and other Graphical aspects between Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2, both the devices are proved to be exciting devices and I’m helpless to support one among these two.

#4. Camera and Video

The Galaxy S2 packs an 8MP(3264×2448 pixels) rear facing shooter that has an LED Flash and other standard features like autofocus, geo-tagging etc. It also has a 2MP front facing camera that is just perfect for video calling.

The Galaxy Nexus has a 5MP(2592×1944 pixels) rear facing camera with Flash with features like autofocus, geo-tagging etc., and it is also having a 1.3MP front facing camera. Both the handsets have the capability to record videos in 1080p @ 30 frames/sec.

If I have to choose one among the Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2, I’d definitely go with Galaxy S2 considering the 8MP with additional features like image stabilization and smile detection.

#5. Memory and Battery

In comparing memory and battery aspects between Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2, the Galaxy S2 is having slight edge over Nexus.

The Galaxy S2 support external memory card slot upto 32GB with default internal storage capacity in 2 variants 16/32 GB, while Galaxy Nexus lacks external MicroSD slot and its internal storage capacity of 16GB which is pretty low when compared to S2. Both the devices run with 1GB RAM.

The Galaxy Nexus has a stronger battery than the Galaxy S2 as it has a 1750mAh battery. But as the screen is bigger than that of the Galaxy S2, it is difficult to say, if the battery is actually better than the 1650mAh battery that the S2 packs.

So, in Memory and Battery comparison between Galaxy Nexus vs Galaxy S2, I’d definitely choose S2 ahead of Nexus.
